If you want to connect a custom oil cooler (like I have) on a BMW M20B25 engine, the two connections (threads) are M22x1,5.
I have bought adapters for M22 to AN10 to connect mine.
I also have a sandwich plate between the oilfilter housing and the filter itself, which gives me four “holes” or connections for future gauges, like oil pressure and oil temperature.
FYI the oil filter thread is imperial, 3/4-16. Usually a few adapters are included with these sandwich plates.
